Konecta Foundation receives an award from Fundación AON at the Premios Solidarios del Seguro 2023 for its support for the “Salir Adelante” project, in collaboration with the association Manos de Ayuda Social

The Insurance Solidarity Awards (Premios Solidarios del Seguro) gala was held on Tuesday 21 November, in which Fundación AON presented the award to Konecta Foundation. This award has been destined to support the “Salir Adelante” project, in collaboration with the Manos de Ayuda Social Association, aimed at helping vulnerable groups.

The Insurance Solidarity Awards, promoted by INESE, are a testimony to the social commitment and solidarity of the Spanish insurance sector which, over the 23 editions of these awards, have contributed 2.8 million euros to finance 452 projects of associations, foundations and NGOs. These awards seek to eradicate social inequalities and the needs of the most disadvantaged in our society.

The “Salir Adelante” project, presented by Konecta Foundation, is a joint initiative between the company and the Manos de Ayuda Social association, aimed at vulnerable groups. The programme focuses on providing food coverage to people affected by unemployment, as well as offering employment guidance and professional social intervention.

To support these families who have been affected by unemployment, 5,200 food packs have been provided, including meals cooked by the Manos de Ayuda Social association, fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, cold meats and sausages, dairy products and oil. At the same time, Konecta Foundation and Konecta’s expert human resources staff will collaborate in social intervention and professional job guidance.

Another objective of this initiative is to guide immigrants on the steps to follow to start a new life in Spain, offering them support in social and labour integration and in the development of skills and competences. During 2022, 38% of the people assisted under this programme found work and moved on.
